This iPhone cannot be synched. A duplicate file name has been specified.

Is the message I keep getting.

I think this started with iOS 4

Then I get "The phone, Charlie's iPhone cannot be synched. I duplicate file name has been specified."

Charlie's iPhone was the name of my phone previously...

I get these messages even after doing a "Restore"

Any ideas on what to try next?

I hate to say this like a broken record - google?

Try these - if it looks too complex head over to the Apple store and have them help.

No problem, the web has so much info thesedays - esp about obscure problems such as this, that you'll probably find the answers there quicker than here.

If I don't know the answer to a client problem the first thing I do is google.

If you need help implementing the fix or the fix doesn't work then perhaps we can help.
